2026 Bing Dao Raw Pu-erh Tea
“Ban Zhang is King, Bing Dao is Queen” — The Queen of Pu-erh Returns
One of Yunnan’s most legendary mountain teas returns to Chen Sheng Hao’s Famous Mountain Tea Series.
Deep in Bing Dao Lao Zhai, Mengku Town, Shuangjiang, Lincang, Yunnan, at an elevation above 1,600 meters, lie some of the most coveted ancient tea gardens in the Pu-erh world.
The officially recognized ancient tea garden area of Bing Dao Lao Zhai measures only 141.5 mu — a remarkably small and fixed terroir where authentic annual production is naturally limited.
For the 2026 Bing Dao Raw Pu-erh Tea, Chen Sheng Hao selects single-origin, first-spring material from Bing Dao Lao Zhai, hand-plucked from old tea trees over 100 years of age.
Pure, unblended, and traceable to one of the most prestigious tea-growing areas in Yunnan, this tea captures the unmistakable sweetness, elegance, and refinement for which authentic Bing Dao Lao Zhai is celebrated.
This marks the seventh consecutive release of the Bing Dao series since 2020.
Single-Origin · First-Spring · 100+ Year Old Trees
The quality of Bing Dao begins with its origin.
Bing Dao is one of the original homes of the Mengku large-leaf varietal, traditionally prized for its naturally high sweetness and low bitterness.
At more than 1,600 meters above sea level, persistent mountain mist, cool temperatures, and distinctive red sandy mineral-rich soil create a growing environment that is difficult to reproduce elsewhere.
For this release, the leaves are harvested during the first spring flush, when the tea trees awaken after winter and the young leaves contain a high concentration of aromatic and flavor compounds.
Combined with material from 100+ year old tea trees, the result is a tea with remarkable depth, purity, sweetness, and lasting energy.
冰糖甜 · Signature Rock-Sugar Sweetness
The most iconic characteristic of Bing Dao is its famous 冰糖甜 — rock-sugar sweetness.
Unlike the direct sweetness of honey or ripe fruit, Bing Dao presents a more refined sensation: a clear, crystalline sweetness that seems to emerge from deep within the tea liquor itself.
Orchid and honey aromas melt naturally into the liquor, creating a fragrance that feels integrated rather than superficial.
The tea enters the mouth with very little bitterness or astringency, followed by a fine, silky texture and a refreshing cooling sensation that gradually rises through the throat.
After swallowing, Hui Gan arrives quickly and persists, accompanied by continuous salivation and a lingering sweetness that remains long after the cup is empty.

Rare by Origin, Distinctive by Nature
The rarity of Bing Dao is not created by marketing.
It comes from the land itself.
The core tea gardens of Bing Dao Lao Zhai are extremely limited, and every harvest is shaped by the same irreplaceable combination of altitude, climate, soil, tree age, and local tea-tree genetics.
That is why genuine Bing Dao is so difficult to reproduce.
Its character is not simply sweet — it is clean, cooling, delicate, and deeply persistent, with a distinctive rock-sugar sweetness that has made Bing Dao one of the most recognizable terroirs in Pu-erh tea.
Enjoy Now or Age for the Future
In its youth, the 2026 Bing Dao is vivid, fragrant, and exceptionally graceful.
The rock-sugar sweetness is clear, the floral and honey aromas are fresh, and the liquor is silky and refreshing.
At the same time, its rich internal substance gives it excellent potential for aging. With proper storage, the liquor can gradually evolve from clear sweetness toward greater mellowness and depth, while fresh floral-fruity notes develop into richer honeyed and woody aromas.
Single-origin. First-spring harvested. 100+ year old-tree material.
Delicate yet profound. Sweet yet deep. The Queen of Pu-erh, in its purest expression.
