陈升河·Our founder
Shenghe Chen learned tea the old way: at his father’s side. He has spent more than fifty years in the craft — long enough that his peers in the Guangdong tea world gave him a nickname he still wears with pride: the “tea obsessive.”
He opens the Yongfeng Tea House in his native Guangdong. A life in tea begins.
He founds a tea company in Shenzhen devoted to tea research and trade, and builds his name across the Cantonese tea world.
Invited to survey China’s tea regions, he spends nearly two months driving the mountain roads of southern Yunnan. Among the old-arbor forests he finds what he has been looking for — and buys land in Menghai, Xishuangbanna.

He founds his tea factory in Menghai and names it after himself: Chen Sheng Hao. His name goes on every cake — and so does his reputation.
He creates our “company + base + farmers” model and signs a 30-year partnership with Lao Ban Zhang village, building a processing base in the village itself. See the partnership in photographs.
He chairs the newly founded Xishuangbanna Lao Ban Zhang Tea Research Association, bringing tea scientists to work alongside the growers. The same year, the villagers honor him with the Hani thread-tying blessing — their highest rite.

He is named a China Tea-Making Master — a national title for a lifetime at the wok, the rolling table and the tasting cup.
Today he remains chairman of Menghai Chen Sheng Tea Co., Ltd., and still tastes the blends that carry his name.
“I came to tea as a young man, and more than fifty years have passed. Everything I have learned about making tea, I have given to one thing: at the very source of tea, I bought land and built a factory, so that tea lovers everywhere might share in this joy. If that, in some small way, helps carry pu’er forward — it is enough.”
Shenghe Chen, founder
Two generations, one standard
The successor陈柳滨
Liubin Chen grew up with tea — at his father’s side, in the tasting room and on the mountain roads. In 2008 he moved to Menghai to learn the craft where the leaves grow, and made it his second home.
Today, as general manager and a certified tea-processing engineer, he leads the second generation: new bases, modern tea science, and the same rules his father set.
2018 · Father and Son
For ten years he blended beside his father. In 2018 he released Lao Ban Zhang Fu Zi Qin — “Father and Son” — his own tribute to that long apprenticeship.
His hope is a simple one: that one day, tea drinkers everywhere will know Chinese tea the way his family does.
