2016 Harmony (和韵, He Yun) is the deep-yun cake of Chen Sheng Hao's Heaven, Earth, People, Harmony series. Chen Sheng Hao sees deep yun as the highest level of the four.
About the Series
The series is Chen Sheng Hao's top tier of raw pu-erh. Chen Sheng Hao sorts its raw teas into four taste profiles, and each cake stands for one: Heaven for high aroma, Earth for strong cha qi, People for a thick base and Harmony for deep yun. All four use old-arbor leaf from trees over 300 years old in Xishuangbanna. Earth, People and Harmony were made only in 2016 and 2017; after that, there was not enough top-grade leaf for them, and only Heaven continued.
Taste
Yun is hard to define. Chen Sheng Hao compares a tea without it to a song sung in tune and in time but without feeling. In practice, it shows as a liquor that melts in the mouth and brings salivation: at the tip of the tongue, on its surface, and in the best teas all the way to the throat (hou yun). Harmony is a tea you can keep drinking without tiring of it, and its aftertaste stays long after the cup is empty.

Gongfu style (recommended)
5–7 g of leaf per 100 ml, water at 95–100 °C. Rinse once for about 5 seconds and pour it away. Start with 10–15 second infusions and add a few seconds each round. Good pu-erh gives 10 or more infusions.
Western style
3 g per 250 ml cup, water at 95–100 °C, steep 3–5 minutes.
Storage
Keep the cake in a clean, dry place away from sunlight and strong smells.
