2025 Lao Ban Zhang -Gan En Raw Pu-erh Tea 357g
Lao Ban Zhang, located in China's Yunnan Province, is famous for its premium Raw Pu-erh tea. This rare and highly sought-after tea is known for its exceptional quality, unique flavor, and strong, mellow, thick taste. Its limited production contributes to its high price, making Lao Ban Zhang one of the most expensive teas globally and earning it the title "King of Pu'er tea."
The Ecological Environment of Lao Ban Zhang Ancient Tea Gardens
The ancient Chinese saying "高山云雾出好茶" highlights that high-altitude areas with thick mountain mist produce better tea. Lao Ban Zhang village, with its diverse ecological vegetation, abundant sunshine, and fog, is particularly suitable for ancient tea tree growth.
Villagers have followed traditional methods of manual cultivation, hand-picking leaves, and sun-drying since ancient times. Lao Ban Zhang Pu-erh tea is produced without inorganic fertilizers, pesticides, or chemicals, making it a pure, natural, pollution-free, and ecologically original tea.
Reliable Source of Lao Ban Zhang Materials
In 2007, Mr. Chen Shenghe founded Menghai Chen Sheng Tea Co. and created the Chen Sheng Hao Pu-erh tea brand. Following the 2007 Pu-erh tea market bubble burst, the company and Lao Ban Zhang village signed a 30-year agreement to create the "Chen Sheng Lao Ban Zhang" collection, benefiting both parties by ensuring a stable income for villagers and a unique advantage for the company.
2025 Lao Ban Zhang “Gan En” Edition – Single Origin Raw Pu-erh Tea
Crafted from the core production area of Lao Ban Zhang, the “Gan En” (Gratitude) edition represents Chen Sheng Hao’s unwavering dedication to quality and tradition. With over 50 years of craftsmanship and 18 years focused exclusively on Lao Ban Zhang, this tea strikes a fine balance between quality and value.
Each batch of fresh tea leaves—varying by tree type, age, plot, and harvest timing—is meticulously evaluated and classified during refinement. This process results in a diverse Lao Ban Zhang product lineup tailored to meet a wide range of tastes.
The 2025 Lao Ban Zhang Gan En Edition uses 100% pure Lao Ban Zhang material. The dry leaves are plump, tightly rolled, and covered in fine, glossy hairs. Once brewed, it shows a bright yellow liquor with a strong, high floral-honey aroma. On the palate, it is strong, thick and full-bodied, with quick, long-lasting huigan (returning sweetness) and a long aftertaste.
How it Differs from the Regular Lao Ban Zhang
Both the “Gan En” Edition and our standard Lao Ban Zhang are sourced from the same core region, but the key distinction lies in the raw material grade. The “Gan En” Edition is made exclusively from ancient tea trees—ranging from 100 to 300 years old—resulting in great depth and character.
Experience the strength, depth, and gratitude of Lao Ban Zhang.
