2024 Ban Zhang Wu Zhai Raw Pu-erh Tea
In 2024, Chen Sheng Hao launched the Ban Zhang Wu Zhai Raw Puerh Tea (Five Villages in Ban Zhang), carefully crafted from the large-leaf tea tree leaves of five villages in the Ban Zhang area. These villages, including Lao Ban Zhang, Lao Man’e, Xin Ban Zhang, Ba Ka Long, and Ba Ka Nan, each possess unique geographical environments and distinct tea flavors.
Ban Zhang is renowned as "China's No.1 Pu-erh Tea Village," with a vast tea garden covering about 28,000 mu. While Lao Ban Zhang, Xin Ban Zhang, and Lao Man’e are well-established, Ba Ka Long and Ba Ka Nan are emerging stars full of potential. Here, the Hani, Lahu, and Blang ethnic groups have been safeguarding these ancient tea gardens for generations, with tea playing a vital role in their daily lives and ceremonies.
Taste Profile
Chen Sheng Hao's experienced tea masters skillfully blend leaves from the five Ban Zhang villages, creating a harmonious fusion of distinct flavors. The result is a balanced tea where bitterness and sweetness intertwine seamlessly.
This tea brings together the strong taste of Lao Ban Zhang, the rich aroma of Xin Ban Zhang, the bitter-then-sweet character of Lao Man'e, the refreshing sweetness of Ba Ka Long, and the mellow roundness of Ba Ka Nan. These five qualities merge into one exquisite blend.
This meticulous tea-making process has created the classic "Ban Zhang Wu Zhai." The tea not only retains the strong "cha qi" and full character of Lao Ban Zhang but also features a well-rounded taste profile.
Why We Made This Ban Zhang Wu Zhai?
While pure Lao Ban Zhang Puerh tea is rare and thus difficult to be an everyday drink for most people due to its limited quantity and high prices, the "Ban Zhang Wu Zhai" blend, incorporating Lao Ban Zhang leaves, is more accessible and allows a wider range of tea lovers to experience the taste of the "King of Tea."
The Ban Zhang region holds a significant status in the Pu-erh tea world, serving as a sacred destination for tea enthusiasts. The "Ban Zhang Wu Zhai" invites you to explore the unique charm of this revered Pu-erh tea region.
