2017 Heaven (天韵, Tian Yun) is from the second and last year Chen Sheng Hao made all four cakes of the Heaven, Earth, People, Harmony series. It uses old-arbor leaf from trees over 300 years old and is part of Chen Sheng Hao's special reserve range.

Heaven belongs to Chen Sheng Hao's top-tier Heaven, Earth, People, Harmony series. Chen Sheng Hao sorts its raw teas into four taste profiles: high aroma, strong cha qi, thick base and deep yun. Each cake in the series stands for one, and Heaven stands for high aroma. Earth, People and Harmony were made only in 2016 and 2017. Heaven is the one Chen Sheng Hao has kept making.
Na Ka Leaf
Na Ka is a Lahu village in Mengsong, Menghai County, known for sweet tea with a high aroma. Chen Sheng Hao signed a 30-year agreement with the village on 28 December 2012 and has made Heaven from Na Ka old-arbor leaf since 2014. Read more about our Na Ka base.
Taste
The cake is neatly pressed, with clear, dark, glossy strands and visible buds. The liquor is bright yellow and thick, soft and sweet, with a high aroma. It is lively in the mouth, the aroma stays on the lips, and the spent leaves are glossy and tender.

Gongfu style (recommended)
5–7 g of leaf per 100 ml, water at 95–100 °C. Rinse once for about 5 seconds and pour it away. Start with 10–15 second infusions and add a few seconds each round. Good pu-erh gives 10 or more infusions.
Western style
3 g per 250 ml cup, water at 95–100 °C, steep 3–5 minutes.
Storage
Keep the cake in a clean, dry place away from sunlight and strong smells.
